Well, a friend told me about an automatic peeler she got that peeled and sliced her apples for her crockpot applesauce. Sounded good to me. I looked it up on Amazon and then looked up demos on YouTube. Saw it slicing apples while it peeled them and another demo with potatoes just being peeled and it looks so darn easy. I ordered one. Its my Christmas gift to me this year.
When I get it, probably around the New Year, I'll be trying it out. Will take pix and post them here so you can see them.

Merry Christmas dear friend i hope today is the greatest for you & your loved ones!!! I am always delighted by you & your pics to learn of all kinds of new birds i never even knew existed!! What a cute little bird & such an odd name Junco, lol. I too also got a peeler yesterday but it is a hand cranked one but still it will make the job of peeling that much easier. It also cores them too! Which before was a two part job what with using a hand peeler & then an apple corer. But now thanks to the hubby & son i have only one contraption to do both........i cannot wait to try it out!!!
